- Manually setting up 3 – 5 ad groups with 3-5 creatives per ad group, let the ad run for some time (at least one day) and see which ad groups or creatives perform better. OR
- Set up Automated Creative Optimization (ACO) with 3 – 5 creatives and 3 – 5 ad groups, let the ad run for some time (at least one day) and see which ad groups or creatives perform better.
What’s the maximum number of creatives to put in a Tiktok ad group?
There is no definite rule for the highest number of creatives to include in an ad group. However for more effective marketing, we recommend having a maximum of 5 creatives in an ad group.
In our experience most times we’ve ran Tiktok ads, we have had one ad group take up most of the budget with 1-2 performing creatives inside the ad group. On this basis, we really do not see the need to put more than 5 creatives in an ad group.
How do I test a lot of creatives on Tiktok ads?
If you want to test a lot of creatives, we suggest running a Campaign Budget Optimization (CBO) with a total of 10 ad groups. Put 5 creatives in 5 ad groups. In the other remaining 5 ad groups, put and test your remaining creatives. Then see which set of ad groups perform the best. i.e the ad groups having 5 creatives each Vs. the ad groups having more than 5 creatives each;
