To start paying for your Instagram and Facebook ads using your Naira debit card, do the following
- Create or select (if already created) the Facebook Business manager account, you want to use in running advertisements for Business on Facebook and Instagram. Tip; Give the Facebook Business account a similar name to the Business you want to advertise. This will help keep things in order as it’s important for everything to be done within the same Facebook Business manager account.
- Create an ad Account in the Facebook Business Manager you have selected above. Under the currency section of the ad account, choose Naira.
- Go to the Facebook ad manager of the selected Facebook Business- select the overview icon- select the naira ad account in step (2) above and add payment using PayU option
- Go to the Facebook Business settings of the selected Facebook Business – Ad instagram account
- Go to your instagram app– ensure you have an instagram professional account- Go to menu -setting -Business- ad payment- you’ll be able to find the ad account of the selected Facebook Business.
- under your Instagram ad payment settings, you’ll be able to add payments to your Naira card, using the “PayU” option and pay for your Facebook and Instagram ads.
It’s important to note here that naira ad accounts are prepaid, meaning that you have to add money to your Facebook wallet before running the ads. This is different from the USD ad accounts, which are post paid ad accounts. Meaning you can run ads first, then pay later.
